Dr. Mark Cox was born and raised in San Antonio. He received his undergraduate and doctorate degrees from Texas A&M University, graduating from Veterinary School in 1987. He started Southlake Crossing Animal Clinic in 1991 after working as an associate in Bedford, Texas for four years. He met his wife, Carol, while at Texas A&M and has been married for 25 years. They have two children, Hilary, 23 and Ryan, 20. They currently have four Golden Retrievers, two Arabian horses and a cat. Dr. Cox enjoys golf, fishing, woodworking and working in his yard.  
 
 
  

Dr. Mike Valdivia has lived in Texas for most of his life. He received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from New Mexico State University in 1997 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2002. He has been at Southlake Crossing Animal Clinic since his graduation. His primary professional interest is surgery. He currently lives in Keller with his wife, son and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, playing various sports and teaching in his church. 
   
 
 
 
 
 
Dr. Clay Bernard was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He attended the Louisiana State University, receiving his undergraduate degree in Zoology and his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Bernard practiced medicine in a busy, multi-doctor veterinary clinic in Las Vegas for 2 years before joining our staff in June 2007. Dr. Bernard has 2 dogs, Staley, a Labrador retriever mix and Baker, a terrier mix and they currently live in Keller. He enjoys golfing, fishing and playing guitar in his spare time.
